On Monday, June 29th, the Noank FD and Mystic River Amb. responded to the area of Elm St and Prospect Hill Rd for the second minor MVA in a week. No injuries were reported.
On June 27th, at approximately 1922 hours, the Noank and Groton Long Point FD's responded to 18 Elm St in Noank for a reported MVA. No injuries were reported at the scene and crews worked together with the tow service to remove the car from the bushes.
On Friday June 12th, the Noank Fire Dept responded to Spring St for a reported boat fire. On arrival, the bulk of the fire had been knocked down by the owner. The crew, lead by Noank Chief Steel, overhauled the cabin where they found some minor extension. Cause is still being determined by the Noank FMO.

On Monday March 23rd, the Pfizer Groton Fire Dept hosted the Groton Fire Officers training at their facility on Eastern Pt Rd. On October 4th, the Noank Fire Dept. kicked off Fire Prevention Week with their annual Open House. Among the fesitvities, was the unveiling of our 1939 Seagrave after a recent engine replacement. We as a department look forward to using the Seagrave at many parades in the future.
